Egret in Dead Tree: A great white egret waits out the high tide in a dead tree on Palmetto Bluff, along the upper reaches of the May River, west of Bluffton. This was a favorite roosting spot until the tree fell a couple years back. On this day, I found an angle for a loose shot that pulled together an extremely formal composition that intrigues me. 1996 (EgretTree-BW)
