Otter Family, May River: A mother and two baby otters swim in marsh of the May River near Palmetto Bluff, west of Bluffton. I spent 20 years trying to get pictures of elusive otters. On this day, I heard them enter the water behind me as I was photographing an egret. I waited, perfectly still. Then I crept closer each time Momma went under water.
